Build a fort, archery, Kansas Wildlife & Fisheries, Safe Boating  

Students will learn about how to care for the earth and learn about how to follow recycling rules for our area. They will hear a story and share stories about their favorite outdoor adventures. We will have a snack, learn about Wildlifer Program, and give students a plant to take home.  

We offer outdoor skills: archery, BB gun shooting, slingshots, boating, climbing, hiking, fishing, campfire cooking, outdoor games, and educational booths for learning about nature and animals as well as how to perform hands on CPR. Activities include canoeing, archery, fishing derby, scavenger hunt, bounce houses, bird watching, nature walk at Wilderness Park, and much more

OK Kids Day has a variety of outdoor related activities, including: archery skills, disc golf .22 shoot, arts and craft, trap shoot, barrel train rides, sand castle competition, fishing derby, geocaching and local first responders. Tackle loaner program - Provide loaner rods, tackle, bait to attendees that want to fish. Local Sponsor: Johnson County Parks and Recreation.

The Turkey Creek Festival is an annual tradition in Merriam. It is a day full of entertainment that features free kids' activities, live music, arts/crafts, 5k walk/run, petting zoo, food trucks, kids fishing day and much more. Local Sponsors: AdventHealth, Home Depot, Nations Holding
