Collegiate Shooting

Sports Mentorship Program

The Kansas Wildscape Foundation is pleased to partner with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks on a pilot shooting sports mentorship program at Pratt Community College in the fall of 2022.

College students with experience in the shooting sports and hunting will be paired with students with little or no experience. All who aren’t certified will take the Kansas Hunter Education Course and then have the opportunity to hunt small and upland game on both private and public lands, as well as participate in sporting clays, trap and skeet shooting.

Guns were provided at a generous discount by TriStar Arms and each participant will be loaned a 20-gauge shotgun to use for these outings.
